The obligatory “New Year’s resolutions” post.
In no particular order:
Will do:
- Pay off my credit card and put $500 into saving every month
- Get my business going
- Learn/practice the following: Cooking, drawing proper anatomy and hair, Flash and ActionScript, vector illustrations, understanding PHP and JavaScript and writing better HTML/CSS
- Take more photos of everything, and actually get them printed and framed
- Pack lunches to take to work
- Respond to all messages and email right away
- Post more on Tumblr, because I do really love it
Will not:
- Spend any more money on Twitter iPhone apps (this has been a bit of an issue in ‘09)
- Keep reading the same books over and over, but buy new ones
- Get upset about little things
- Sleep past 9am and/or and spend all day in PJs, but get properly dressed/groomed every morning
That’s all I can think of for now.
I’ve been trying to draw for the past two days and somehow it always ends with frustration and self-loathing (which I’m sure has something to do with my tendency to browse DeviantArt while I’m drawing). However, I kept coming back to this sketch and I’m not quite ready to give up on it yet, so we’ll see where it goes.
Rabbi. He’s 17 but you would never guess.
I’m putting together a Christmas gift for my riding teacher, I’m gonna take photos of her horses and either frame them or get a photo book printed. I was determined to get all my gifts sorted out early but I just realized it’s already November 23.. Christmas always sneaks up on you!
So I got a mysterious package from Ireland this morning.. And now I officially have the coolest socks evar. They go very well with my dog - he’s a sheepdog! (and there’s sheep on the socks. Get it? Hah. So funny)
I wanted to put the Guiness hat on Chase first but he wasn’t having it. Maybe because a Scottish dog does not want to promote Irish merchandise? (I’m on a roll!)

Inspiration
This may sound just a tad crazy, but I think Tumblr is really good for me. I mean, it’s a great blogging platform from what I’ve seen so far, it’s good to have a place to write and just post useless stuff, but most of all it’s really inspiring. People post so much artwork on here, illustrations and design and photography.. it actually made me pick up a pen (well, the digital Wacom pen kind) again. Something I haven’t done in a while!
I’ve just had so many images in my mind that I want to draw the last couple days, I just hope I can keep up the motivation to actually do it.
